A father has voiced his disgust after a delivery driver left his family’s £45 order in the bin.
Rob Taylor, used Just Eat to order KFC for him, his wife and their three children at their home in Fleetwood, Lancashire, on March 28.
But upon its arrival, shocking doorbell camera footage shows the driver taking the order out of his courier bag, and placing it inside a household bin before closing the lid.
Rob said he did not hear the driver knock at the door or receive any phone calls, although he acknowledged one may have been attempted.
The dad-of-three has told he only realised something was wrong when he spotted the driver leaving his garden shortly after the delivery.

‘I looked out the window and said, “That’s my order”, and he [the driver] said, “I’ve put it in the bin”,’ he said.
‘I was just stood there thinking, “‘”Did that really just happen?”
‘I was gobsmacked. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.’
As it had been discarded, Mr Taylor decided the meal was ‘not fit for human consumption’ and didn’t give it to his family.
He instead drove out and bought his children a McDonald’s Happy Meal.
Just Eat said its delivery driver had tried to contact Mr Taylor eight times, including by seven phone calls and a via a message on the app, to no avail.
It added that the rider had stood outside the family’s home for more than 20 minutes.
A spokesperson for the platform said that deliverers are advised to drop off food in a ‘safe place’ in the event there is no response at a property, suggesting that the rider in this case confused its policies with those of other courier firms.
Mr Taylor conceded he had noticed some missed calls but insisted this did not justify the rider’s ‘mental’ reaction.
A Just Eat spokesperson said: ‘At Just Eat, we want all of our customers to have a positive experience when ordering food online and we have robust systems in place to ensure a smooth order handover.
‘In this instance, the courier was left waiting outside for the customer for over 20 minutes, with eight attempts to contact the customer to let them know their order arrived.
‘We are in touch with the customer to discuss their experience further.’
