Lloyds Banking Group has confirmed a series of closures for 2026, becoming the latest bank to shut sites across UK high streets.

The banking giant, which includes Lloyds Bank, Halifax, and the Bank of Scotland, has plans to close a number of branches throughout the remainder of the year.

It also has confirmed plans to close additional branches of its bank chains through the first half of 2027.

Lloyds says the majority of the closures are happening because customers have shifted to online banking, preferring to use the mobile app, the website, or phone.
