Henry Nowak’s killer ‘brandishes gun’ in unseen clip taken years before murder

New footage shows Vickrum Digwa holding what appears to be a gun in his back garden, years before he was convicted of the murder of Henry Nowak.

The video appears to show the now-23-year-old holding the weapon while a second, unidentified person shoots bullets at a wooden board on October 18, 2022.

Digwa’s neighbor claims they were startled that day by ‘loud gunshots’ coming from the house next door in Southampton.

The neighbor went to inspect what was going on and filmed Digwa and another man holding guns in their back garden.

Digwa has been jailed for life for murdering 18-year-old Henry in Southampton on December 3, 2025.

The court heard that Digwa had stabbed Nowak five times with a ‘large dagger’ that he claimed he was carrying for religious reasons.

When police arrived at the scene, Digwa falsely claimed Henry had racially abused him and knocked his turban off.

These accusations led officers to arrest and handcuff the student as he was dying of stab wounds at the scene.

During the sentencing hearing, Digwa was described as having a ‘weapon obsession’.

Nicholas Lobbenberg KC, for the prosecution, also said Digwa was ‘skilled with weapons, trained with weapons, sleeps with weapons, searches for weapons on his phone.’

The neighbor said: ‘We could hear gunshots, we went to look and saw them shooting guns at a wooden board.

‘We filed a report to the police, but they told us they couldn’t do anything as there had been no reports from other residents.

‘We would hear a lot of shouting and arguing sometimes, but overall, they were quiet neighbors. I didn’t see him come and go often, but I would see him in the garden a lot.’

Hampshire Police were unable to find a report of the incident, but did discover an air pistol at the property where Digwa lived with his family in a search following Henry’s murder.

Digwa, as well as his brother and his dad, appeared in court charged with multiple weapons offenses last week.

The charges against the convicted murderer relate to a flick knife, an extendable baton, knuckledusters, a machete, swords and kusaris, but do not relate to a gun.

His father, Moga Singh, 52, and his brother, Gurpreet Digwa, 27 – who are on bail – appeared alongside him to face the same charges.

Gurpreet also faced additional charges of possessing an offensive weapon, an asp, in a public place; possessing a prohibited weapon, an air rifle; possessing an axe in a public place; and possessing a knife in a public place.

The proceedings were adjourned until July 9, when a further hearing is scheduled.
