Sept. 4
“Blood and Myth” (Disney+/Hulu): This true crime documentary sees an indigenous Alaskan man claim he was possessed by supernatural beings when he committed his violent crimes.
Sept. 5
“The Conjuring: Last Rites” (theaters): The ninth film in the “Conjuring” universe sees the conclusion to the story of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Sept. 11
“Kontrabida Academy” (Netflix): Barbie Forteza (Gigi) and Eugene Domingo (Mauricia) star in this Filipino comedy drama about a mysterious school that teaches the secrets of on-screen villainy.

“Downtown Abbey: The Grand Finale” (theaters): The third and presumably final Downtown Abbey movie follows the Crawley family as they embrace various changes in 1930.

“The Lost Bus” (theaters, Apple TV+ on October 3): Directed by Paul Greengrass, this drama thriller follows a school bus driver and a teacher’s attempt to save children from a wildfire.

“Swiped” (Disney+/Hulu): Lily James plays Whitney Wolfe Herd in this biographical drama about the founder and CEO of dating app Bumble.
